GCIRD is constituted as an independent, non-profit organisation. To preserve the integrity of its research, the Council accepts support from individuals, foundations, and institutions only when such support does not compromise our scholarly or editorial autonomy. Political-party funding or funding linked to specific political outcomes is not accepted.

The Council maintains a policy of financial diversification to avoid reliance on any single donor or sector. As the organisation expands, GCIRD will publish clear information on its principal sources of support and, where appropriate, detailed annual financial statements.

Independence, intellectual as well as institutional, is central to our identity. Our analyses, recommendations, and programming are determined internally, and no donor or external actor has the authority to influence the substance of our work.
